Tourney Consulting Group was founded in Paul Tourney’s basement.

October 2000

TCG operations move to facilities on Cork Street.

Vincent Wheeler joins the company. (VP & CFO)

January 2006

TCG moves into 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Midlink Business Park.

February 2008

TCG receives its first large scale Service Life & Durability Bridge project. (Sakonnet Bridge in NY)

March 2008

TCG Becomes CCRL Certified for the first time. Our lab passed its inspection and we are now ASTM C1077 and R-18 compliant.

June 2009

First large scale for the new M82 specification. Cast and Monitored (110) thick panels for corrosion for the MDOT project 10110.

April 2010

TCG 10 year Anniversary.

Dr. Neal Berke joins the company. (Corrosion Manager and VP)

TCG receives its first NACE certified employee.

October 2010

TCG increases in size and adds engineering wing.

November 2012

TCG adds chemical lab

December 2012

Began work on South Capital Bridge. (Washington, DC, USA)

December 2017

TCG starts work on Gordie Howe International Bridge (GHIB). (Detroit MI, USA & Windsor, ON Canada)

July 2018

First large scale collaboration with WMU to perform research on MDOT Sealers.

February 2019

Began work on 3rd crossing Bridge. (Kingston, ON, Canada)

May 2019

Began work on Federal Way Link Extension. (Federal Way, Washington, USA)

August 2018

Dr. Kyle Stanish joined the company. (Engineering Manager)

February 2020

Began work on Mackinac Bridge (St. Ignace, Michigan, USA)

July 2020

TCG 20 year anniversary.

October 2020

Completed (1000) ASTM C 457 Hardened Air Void tests for the GHIB.
