AMPP Annual Conference – March 2026

Neal Berke and Kristin Ade will be attending the Annual AMPP Conference and Expo in Houston during the week of March 15, 2026. Both will participate in committee meetings and technical sessions focused on the corrosion of metals in concrete.

Additionally, Neal has a joint presentation that will be delivered by Michael Stroia of CMC, titled:

“Advancing galvanized coatings in concrete.”

Company Announcement: September 1, 2025

Tourney Consulting Group is thankful to be part of the recent sessions at ACI Toronto Conference honoring Professor Carolyn Hansson, a groundbreaking leader in our industry. Neal Berke was one of the editors of the resulting SP-366 and was the lead author of the paper “The Effects of Cations on Chloride Ingress and Hydroxide Level in Concrete,” with Ali Inceefe and Kyle Stanish. Kyle Stanish also contributed to another paper in the special publication, “Design Specification for Service Life Evaluation: Technical Implications” with Jose Pacheco. We wish Carolyn the best for the future.

Company Announcement: May 1, 2025

Paul Tourney, founder of Tourney Consulting Group, has started his well-deserved retirement. Kyle Stanish, Neal Berke and Vince Wheeler, the existing minority shareholders, have purchased his interest in the company.

Kyle Stanish will take over the role as President of Tourney Consulting, but continue to lead the engineering group.

Neal Berke will continue in his role as Vice President – Research, and lead our laboratory services.

Vince Wheeler will remain as CFO and continue to provide administrative support.

Tourney will continue to operate from Kalamazoo, Michigan and our services and contact information remains unchanged. We look forward to continuing to provide laboratory and engineering services to our clients and look forward to continuing to expand into the future.
