WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING:

Tourney Consulting Group is a nationally recognized construction materials laboratory and engineering group located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We focus on evaluation of service life and corrosion to improve the built environment. We are currently looking for a full-time laboratory technician to join our team. We will consider individuals of all levels and experience. The level of the technician will depend upon experience.

Lab Technician (full time):

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sample preparation such as saw cutting and grinding
• Conducting standard laboratory procedures
• Cleaning of laboratory facilities and general equipment maintenance
• Data entry
• Complete test result documentation, and other documentation
• Other duties as assigned

Skills Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical aptitude,
• Basic Excel & Microsoft Word Computer Skills,
• Communications Skills and legible penmanship
• Must be able to lift 50 lb.
• Basic concrete testing is desirable but not required. Laboratory personnel will have appropriate training for the tests they are performing.

Other expectations:

• Good communication with TCG Managers and other laboratory staff
• Have reliable transportation.

Salary: This is a full-time hourly position. The starting salary will be based upon experience.
